American Catholics Are More Like Joe Biden Than the Bishops Targeting Him

The Roman Catholic Bishops of the United States need to decide if they want to be for Jesus or GOP talking points

Considering all of the available targets out there, it’s mind-boggling to watch U.S. Catholic bishops pick a fight with Joe Biden, one of the most Catholic people ever.

Ignoring a warning from the Vatican, the Roman Catholic bishops of the United States recently overwhelmingly voted to draft guidance on the sacrament of the Eucharist in an effort to advance a push by conservative bishops to deny President Biden communion due to his support of abortion rights. Being denied communion is one of the worst things that could happen to a practicing Catholic. To be denied communion is to effectively be told your moral compass is so bad that you can’t even receive the body and blood of Christ.

So while everyone is walking up the aisle to eat that fancy cracker and sip that red wine in the name of Jesus, the bishops want every priest near and far to snub Biden and send him back to his pew with his tongue hanging out.
